Outdoor adventure is easy if you bring the right stuff.

Being prepared is a good rule of thumb in any outdoor travels. For your comfort we suggest the following items be brought or at least considered.

  • Lightweight nylon shorts or similar for summer tours
  • T-shirt or (lightweight light colored long sleeve if sun sensitive )
  • Sweatshirt and windbreaker for cooler days
  • Sneakers or similar shoes that can get a little wet
  • Some folks like to paddle in flip flops or water shoes.
    We sometimes take a short hike after lunch and there is room to bring an extra pair of sturdy shoes or sneakers for the hike.
  • Sunglasses and Sunscreen
  • Brimmed hat like a ball cap etc. (optional but nice)
  • A water bottle (hopefully a reused or reusable one:) We bring water and drinks for lunch. On a hot day you will want water with you in the boat.
  • Camera, please protect with ziploc or suitable camera bag (if you are careful you won't flip) YOU ARE 100% RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ELECTRONIC OR EQUIPMENT YOU BRING..
  • Binoculars, protect as well and be careful
  • Some folks like to bring a nice cushy towel to fold up on their seat.
  • There is storage in the boats but it may not be 100% waterprooof and boats may carry a little bit of water from paddle drips, please protect gear YOU TAKE ON THE WATER with plastic bags or similar waterproof small backpack or bag.
  • If you bring a light rain jacket of cheap plastic poncho it won't rain :)
  • Insect repellent? We never use it but some folks might want to have it. Bugs are not bad.

Cooler Days or Wet Days in Summer

  • Sweatshirt and windbreaker for cooler days
  • Nylon track pants over shorts or khaki pants, Blue jeans not suggested
  • Rain gear or i.e wal mart cheap poncho or glad trash bag
  • Dry clothes for after
  • Towel (optional)

Why are we an eco tour?
We use reusable plates, cups and flatware for the picnic lunch buffet. In season we provide organic vegetables from our garden for our sandwiches.
We also are dedicated protecting our natural heritage through sound and sustainable wilderness travel ethics such as the Leave No Trace Ethic.

We also are huge fans of nature and we strive to impart our love and knowledge of nature to all of our guests so they can share and spread an ethusiasm for nature in the hopes of providing the environment the protection it deserves.
